It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Joseph Murphy of Curling (Corner Brook), formerly of Job’s Cove, NL, announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on December 23rd, 2007 in his 87th year. Left to celebrate his life, his wife of 59 years, Theresa (nee Byrne), children Jerry (Floria) Kitchener, David (Brenda), Calgary, Ellen Penney (John), Labrador City, Ann Marie Riviere (Yvon), Labrador City, Denis (Lynnette), Mt. Pearl, Sheila Lindsay (Garth), Sarnia, Tony (Debbie), St. John’s, Chris (Marie), Curling, Tom (Cathy), Calgary, Catherine Moores (Neil), St. John’s, Danny (Sandra), Ottawa, John (Marie), Dartmouth, Robert (Mireille), Dieppe. Lovingly remembered by his 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; one sister: Jane Woodrow of Northern Bay, as well as a large circle of sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. A 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and 57 year member of Archbishop Howley Council No. 2581, Corner Brook. Visitation at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday, Dec. 26th , 7-9:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27th, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Sacred Heart Church, Curling on Friday, Dec. 28th at 10:30 A.M., Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his name to Daffodil Place. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
