<p align="center">John Samuel</p> <p align="center">Hoskins</p> <p align="center">Corner Brook, NL</p> <p align="center">Born on Woods Island, NL</p> <p align="center">August 14, 1947 – April 1, 2016</p> <p> </p> <p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Samuel Hoskins announce his passing on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 39 years Barbara (nee Knee); son Jimmy (Kim) Hoskins, Welland, Ontario; daughters: Sonya (David) Earle, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Shelley (Kenny) Parsons, Lark Harbour; grandchildren: Carlee, Cassie, Derian, Tyson, Kenny Jr. and Austin; sisters and brothers: Pauline (Max) Crossley, Corner Brook, Roy (Bernetta) Hoskins, Corner Brook, Elaine (Wally) Simmons, British Columbia, Eric (Lynn) Hoskins, Gillams and Kathy (Glen) Norman, Corner Brook; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron Knee (Annie), Woody Point, Levi Knee, Corner Brook, Sue (Max) Pike, Corner Brook, Lucy Zimmerman, Georgia, USA and Alma (Gerry) Jeffs, Codben, Ontario; special lifelong friends: Ed Andrews, Ralph Byrne and Oscar Hardy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Samuel Hoskins, 1986, mother Gladys Hoskins, 2012, father-in-law David Knee, 1965 and mother-in-law Dorcas Knee, 1987. As per John’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 6 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at John’s Home, 29 Pinegrove Avenue, Corner Brook. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a Charity of One’s Choice.
