<p>The family of Margaret Hewitt-Barney would like to announce her passing on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital. She leaves behind with fond and loving memories her son Neil Hewitt-Barney (Melissa Bennett); parents H. Clyde and Elsie (Stowe) Hewitt; sisters: Carol (Arthur) Griffin, Glynis (Alan) MacGibbon and Diane (Dwight) Howse; aunt Evangeline Pollett; mother-in-law Mary Barney; sisters-in-law: Iris Earle Morency, Ruth (Ches) Howell, Marilyn (Ivan) Roberts, Sheila (Melvin) Linsted and Jean (James) Smith; special friends Alice and Brian Snow; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jonathan Barney, father-in-law Wilfred Barney, brothers-in-law Leonard (Greta) Barney and Conrad Morency, uncles Robert Stowe and Randolph Stowe, aunt Gertrude (Roy) Noseworthy (Stowe). Special thank you to the staff at the Calder Health Centre, Burgeo and the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Temple, O&rsquo;Connell Drive, Corner Brook with Captains Cory and Pamela Pinksen officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.
