<p>It is with great sadness that the family and friends of the late Emma Catherine Layden announce her passing on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 66 years. She was predeceased by her husband Howard Layden, parents Herbert and Gertie Simms. She leaves to mourn her 3 step-sons: Dean, Keith and Neal (Sarah); 4 grandchildren: Michael, Brittany, Liam and Kelly; special aunt Ella Simms; special sister-in-law Bride Compton and aunts: Marion and Stella; as well as other relatives and friends. Friends may visit The Salvation Army Citadel in Pasadena on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26 at 4:00 p.m. with Captains Timmy and Laura Jenkins officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvations Army Cemetery, Pasadena. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Pasadena.
