<p><span>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Guy Slade announce his passing on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. Guy studied at Memorial University in St. John&rsquo;s and the Nova Scotia Technical College where he earned his Electrical Engineering Degree. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Darryl (Glenda) of Deer Lake, Thomas (Michelle) of Caledon, Ontario; daughter: Nancy (Richard) Rogers of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren: Loni (John), Steven, and Silas (Isabelle); special niece Joan (Austin), grandnephew: Shawn (Ainsley); great grandnephews: Ryan and Aaron; niece: Dale (Kevin) Miller, grandnieces: Nicole, Jessica, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Millicent; parents Ernest and Maude Slade; sister-in-law: Edna (Clayton) Rowe and nephew: Raymond Rowe. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive on Sunday, May 29 from the hours of 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 30 at 2:00 PM from&nbsp;St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with Reverend Paulette Bugden officiating with interment to follow at Wight&rsquo;s Road Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.
