It is with great sadness that the family of the late DAPHNE SMITH announce her passing on Friday, December 23rd, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 86. She will be sadly missed by her children: Flora Chafe (Mark), St. John's, Robert Smith (Betty), Pouch cove, Kay Sheppard (Herb), Lark Harbour with whom she resided; 7 grandchildren: Wanda Smith, Robert Smith, Dawn Hannams, Wendy Penton, Robert Sheppard, Kathy Fletcher, Bill Sheppard, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; nieces Gale and Sherry, nephews Bob and Eric and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Wellesley Smith, February 15, 1983 & sister Dorothy Tuttle. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gracioulsy accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. James memorial fund.
