<p>It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Bennett announce his passing on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the age of 84 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Florence, special pet dog, Candy, two sons, Millard (Judy), and Calvin (Cindy); two daughters, Shirley and Pamela (Silas); sisters, Ruth (George), Alice (Bill), and Ruby; brothers, Gordon (Maisie), Leslie (Marie), Verdon (Inez) and Fred (Hilda). Cecil will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Blanche; sister, Lilly Mae; brothers, William, Alex and David; son-in-law, Ivan , grandsons, Stephen and Fred and parents-in-law Frederick and Martha Barnes. Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held at Fillatre&rsquo;s Chapel on Friday, June 24<sup>th</sup> &nbsp;at 2 p.m., officiated by Charles O'Regan. Interment will follow at the non-denominational cemetery, Batstone&rsquo;s Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Cecil&rsquo;s honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A very special thank you to &nbsp;caregivers, Gloria Edmonds and Maxine Park, Dr. Murphy and Dr. Shaikh and the nursing staff from ICU and 3B during this time.</p>
