It is with great sadness that the family of the late SYLVIA INEZ GILBERT announce her passing on Friday, December 23rd, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 68. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years Raymond Gilbert, 5 children: Morris Gilbert (Theresa), Diane Connolly (Bernard), Karl Gilbert (Barbara), Barbara Sheppard (Dennis), Donna Sheppard (Martin); grandchildren: Darrell, Jeremy, Alanda, Stephen, Tammy, Shelley, Paul, Jordan, Jenna, Bobbi, Terri; great grandchildren: Ty, Braden & Connor; sisters: Dossie Pennell (Ralph), Marie Pottle (Max); brothers: Ronnie Sheppard (Geraldine), Paul Sheppard (Pauline); brother-in-law Linton Gilbert, sister-in-law Norma Pickett (Bill) and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Stephen & Georgina Sheppard. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28th at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
