Sheldon Chubbs Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL Dec 5, 1932 - Jan 5, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sheldon Chubbs announce his passing on Saturday, January 5th, 2008 at his residence, at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Winnifred (nee Dawe); son Murry, Happy Valley Goose Bay; daughters: Susan, Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Sharon (Michael) Best, Happy Valley Goose Bay; two grandsons: Sheldon (Sandy), Victoria, BC and Brandon Best, Happy Valley Goose Bay; brothers: William (Gertie), Carbonear, Alvin (Jane), Foxtrap and Eric (Alberta), Carbonear; sisters: Ruby, Virginia USA and Yvonne (Albert), ON; special brother-in-law Fred Summers (Trudy), St. John’s; mother-in-law Gwen Dawe, Happy Valley Goose Bay; step-children: Sandra and Robert, along with a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Josephine “Phil”; parents William and Marion and brother James. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Monday, January 7th between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 8th at 2:00 p.m. from the Anglican Church, Happy Valley Goose Bay. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Anglican Church.
