It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Jimima Lethbridge (nee Learning) at the Paddon Memorial Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on December 25, 2005 in her 83rd. year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband of 66 years, Gordon, son, Edgar (Mary), daughter, Amanda Pardy (Robert), daughter Agnes Pittman (Leander) and son, Alex (Ruth), brother, James Learning, grandchildren, Goldie Augot, Krista Lethbridge, Fay Pittman, Dana Pittman, Ryan Lethbridge, and Renee Lethbridge, great-grandchildren, Mandy Pardy, Shane Augot, and Adam Augot, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Amanda Learning, father, James Learning, brothers, Samuel, John, Stewart and an infant brother, sisters, Louisa, Gertrude, Alfreda, Lavinia, and Harriet. Evelyn was born in Eagle River and spent her early years in Paradise River, later moving to Cartwright and then to Happy Valley-Goose Bay in the 1970's with her husband, Gordon. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Wednesday, December 28th, with Archdeacon Jennifer Gosse and Rev. Chesley Lethbridge officiating, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrused to Fillatre Funeral Homes, Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
