FRANCIS YOUNG Irishtown, NL May 14th, 1924 - January 16th, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the Francis Young announce his passing on Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Monica (George) Anderson, Mervin (Emily), Raymond, Vera (David) Tulk, Nicholas (Pat) and Bernice Companion. As well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Johnny and Alice, wife Bertina (nee Benoit) and daughter Nancy Green. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Thursday from the hours of 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 10:30 AM from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
