<p><span>It is with great sadness that the family of the late John George Wilson Butler announce his passing on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit, WMRH at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 56 years, Anita (Taylor), sons: Hal (Devon), Moncton, NB; Brad (Cindy), Holyrood, NL; and three grandchildren: Jonathon, Moncton, NB; Ryan (Tamara), Vancouver, BC and Erin (Cody), Holyrood, NL; sisters: Barbara McCourt, Boston, MA; Emily MacDonald (Leslie), Enfield, NS and Mildred Melee, St. John&rsquo;s, NL; brothers: Walter, Harry, St. John&rsquo;s, NL; sisters-in-law: Hazel Butler, Pasadena, NL, Jean Rose, St. John&rsquo;s, NL and Myra Taylor, St. John&rsquo;s, NL; brothers-in-law: Ed Taylor, Vancouver, BC, Bob Taylor (Pat), Jim Brake, Corner Brook, NL; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Predeceased by his mother and father: Mildred and Douglas Butler, adoptive parents Grace and Leslie Butler; brother: Douglas;<span>&nbsp; </span>brothers-in-law: Pat Rose, Ed McCourt, Max, Morley and David Taylor, Frank Bacho, Barbara and Lew Gilbert, Lenore and Clem Butler, Wallace Butler, Ted and Lillian Butler; sisters-in-law: Ena Bacho, Betty Brake, Dorothy Taylor and Judy Taylor. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street. To honour and respect John&rsquo;s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will take place at Curling Memorial United Church, on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Curling Memorial United Church Fund or to a charity of ones choice. </span></p>
