It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Elford (nee: Marche) announce her passing at the Interfaith Home for Seniors, Corner Brook on Monday, January 28, 2008 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Elford, son Newman, grandson Gregory, brothers Raymond and Gordon and sister Veronica, parents Maxum and Jane Marche. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Lorraine Goodey (Arthur), Pasadena, Utley (Madonna), Corner Brook, Claude (Audrey), Corner Brook, Lena Curnell (Frank), Corner Brook, Doris Elford, New Brunswick, Francis, Corner Brook. Mary will be sadly missed by 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren, as well as many relatives and friends. She is survived by siblings Thaddeus (Stacia), Millage (Alice), Beatrice and Angela. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church Reverend John Hounsell …Drover officiating, followed by the inertment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
