<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred William Pennell of Frenchman's Cove, announces his passing in peaceful sleep at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, in his 85th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sister Nonie (David) White; nephews and nieces, Gordon (Treena) Pennell, </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">Tammy Piercey, </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">Bill (Sherry) Pennell, Glenn (Fay) Pennell, Eva (Lawrence) Hynes, Mildred Hackett, Linda (Carl) McHugh, </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">David (Linda) Pennell and </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">Barbara (Edward) Boland, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Lillian and father Wallace, brothers John and Lindburgh, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Pennell (nee Stewart) and Patricia Pennell (nee Vaters); Alan Hackett (husband of niece Mildred Hackett) and his special friend, Rose Barnes.  Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling street on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22</span><sup><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">nd</span></sup><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;"> at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Church in John’s Beach with Reverend David Taylor officiating.
