She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Olive (Ron) Ayre, Bobby (Judy) Lavers, Lorna (Leo) Ayles, Joe (Barb) Lavers, Cecil (Lillian) Lavers, Josephine and Laverne Lavers; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew Lavers, sons Derrick Kennedy and Howard Lavers, great-grandson Stephen Lavers, granddaughter Delphine, parents Joseph and Josephine Kennedy, 2 sisters, 7 brothers and special nephew Wayne Fitzpatrick. Friends may visit St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Port Saunders on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Raj officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy donations to a charity of one’s choice or to the family (donations to the family will be directed to a charity of their choice.
