<p><span>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Companion announce his passing on Thursday, March 16<sup>th</sup>, 2017 with his granddaughter, Amanda by his side, at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Elvie, March 24<sup>th</sup>, 2004. <span> </span>Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son Darren (Darlene); daughters Janice (Herb), Paulette (Keith), Elaine (Mike), Joni (Walt) and family; grandchildren: Amanda (Ashley), Craig, Michael (Heather), Brandon (Alison), Christopher (Tara), Michael (Kelly); great grandchildren: Tanner, Kobe and Letty; two sisters Jean Wheeler and Rhodena Loder; special friend and her family, Rhoda Mitchell, Arch, Ryan and Sarah, Cynthia (Dave); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday from 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20<sup>th</sup> at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Church in John’s Beach with Reverend David Taylor officiating. The interment will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Ambrose Memorial Fund.
