LEGGE JOSEPH MARTIN CORNER BROOK, NL July 9, 1918 - February 7, 2006 Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a couragous battle with cancer in his 88th year. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Martha (nee Curtis); six children: Diane Barker (Bill), Blanche Connors (Fred), Regina Batstone, Calvin Legge (Ellen), Derrick Legge, Linda Ricketts (Jack George); daughter-in-law: Joanne Legge; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister: Hilda Wambolt; brother: Arthur Legge (Carrie); two brothers-in-law: Irving Wentzell and Leonard Branton; three sisters-in-law: Inez Legge, Elsie Lundrigan and Isabel Lawrence, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Emma Legge, brother George and baby brother Hubert, as well as four sisters, Clara Pasha, Bessie Critch, Mae Wentzell and Jane Branton; son-in-law: Lloyla Ricketts. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital graciously accepted.
