LESLIE DR. ANNA MARIE CORNER BROOK, NL Dr. Anna Marie Leslie passed into the presence of Our Lord on Tuesday, February 7th, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 61. Anna is predeceased by her parents Matthias and Molly Leslie, and nephew Roman Yanda. She is survived by her 7 brothers and sisters: Joan (Wally) Yanda, Joseph (Maxine) Leslie, Harold (Kristen) Leslie, Catherine (Alex) Watts, Mary Leslie, Brian (Brenda) Leslie and Patrick Leslie. Anna's love and sense of humour will be greatly missed by her 12 nieces and nephews: Lara, Gregory, Meghan, Stephen, Daniel, Michael, Jordan, Sean, Leslie, Vaughan, Tanis and Amanda Molly; and her 4 grandnieces and grandnephews. Anna was, since 1989, a devoted professor at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Memorial University of Newfoundland in Corner Brook. A Mass of Christian Burial, with Rev. Father Jim Robertson will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10th in Holy Redeemer Catholic Cathedral in Corner Brook. A reception will follow at the home of Dr. Olaf and Ellen Janzen at 55 Elswick Road. Interment will take place at Mount Lehaman cemetery in Abbotsford, BC. Pallbearers are: Dr. Michael Parker, Cliff Wells, Joseph Leslie, Harold Leslie, Daniel Leslie and Michael Leslie. If so desired, donations may be made in Anna's memory, to the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Please designate Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. Our special thanks and deep appreciation to Dr. Maureen Gibbons and the nursing staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their love, kindness and exceptional generosity towards Anna in her time of struggle.
