It is with great sadness that the family of Vera Penney (Pritchett) announce her passing on February 6, 2006 after a brief illness. She leaves to mourn three daughters and their families: Dawn (Steve) and grandsons Corbin and Liam from La Crescenta, Ca., Darlene (Randy) of Halifax, NS and Cheryl (Rob) and grandchildren Reegan and Mitchell of Corner Brook, NL. She is predeceased by her husband Noble and son Darryl. Vera was born in Middle Brook, NL. She raised her family in Corner Brook. Shortly after retiring from Western Memorial after 26 years of service, she relocated to Gander with her brother Harold and his family (Bonnie and Winnie). Vera will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and her sense of compassion in helping others. Viewing will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home on St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday. Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Church, Clarence Street 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, with interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
