<div>It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Smith (Reid) announces her passing on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Bonne Bay Health Center, Norris Point at the age of 88.&nbsp;<br /><br />Evelyn will be dearly missed by her&nbsp;son Roger (Emily) and her grandsons Steven (Megan)&nbsp; and Michael (Nikki) and 6&nbsp; Great-Grand children.&nbsp;brother Clarence (Gladys) and sister&nbsp;Ada ,&nbsp;&nbsp;Sister-In-law Margaret (Don) Fudge, Glenda Smith, Florence McKenzie, Beatrice Smith&nbsp;and Brother-In law Ross Nicolle. A large circle of nephews and nieces and other family and friends.</div>

<div>Evelyn has been predeceased by her loving husband&nbsp;Rueben, daughter Michelle, her parents&nbsp;Matilda&nbsp;and Norman,&nbsp; her brothers Chelsey (Evelyn) and Thomas (Voila)&nbsp;and her&nbsp;sister Rhoda (Harry) Roberts.</div>

<div>Evelyn will be remembered for her love for family, her talent for making quilts and knitted goods and her love for a game of cards, music and bingo. She also volunteered in the community with the Anglican Church Women and the Women&rsquo;s Auxiliary.</div>

<div>The family would like to thank the staff of the Bonne Bay Hospital&nbsp;Long Term Care and Dr. James Bowen.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />The family will be receiving relatives and friends throughout the day, beginning at 2 pm, on Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Norris Point, NL. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Kay Short, on Tuesday June 13 at 2:00 pm, at the Church of the Good Shepherd. The interment will follow at the Old Anglican Cemetery in Norris Point.&nbsp;<br /><br />Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to&nbsp;Fillatre's Funeral Home&nbsp;,&nbsp;Deer Lake, NL.
