WELLS Benjamin Bulter Cox's Cove, NL March 8th, 1916 - February 17th, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benjamin Butler Wells announce his passing on Friday, February 17th, 2006 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 52 years Lillian (Blanchard); children: Phyllis (Morley) Attwood, Calgary, Doreen Lewis, Ontario, Russell (Linda) Wells, McIvers, Benjamin (Gloria) Wells, Hughes Brook, Donna (Kevin) Blanchard, McIvers and special daughter Cindy Wells, Cox's Cove. Step-children: Lena (Gerald) Crocker, Cox's Cove, Dina (Calvin) Murrin, Gilliams and Mithilda (Fred) Pynn, Corner Brook. Grandchildren: Judy, Gary, Wade, Shane, Andy, Mark, Todd, Kimberley, Timothy, Ronnie, Lee, Kevin, Warren, Archie, Quiton, Quincy, Ferlin, Marizona, Todd and Marla, special granddaughter-in-law Doris Crocker, Cox's Cove. As well as a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sisters: Bertha Parsons, New Brunswick, Tossie (Hilard) Sheppard, Cox's Cove and Georgina (Maxwell) Curtis, Cox's Cove. Brother William (Mercadis) Wells, Nova Scotia. Brother-in-law Aubrey Sheppard, Meadows, Gerald (Beatrice) Blanchard, Gilliams and Claude (Bonnie) Blanchard, Gilliams. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Olive (Noseworthy) 1948, parents James and Alice, step-daughters Geraldine Hall and Betty Soloman, son-in-law Lewis Lewis, grandchildren Phyllis, Sandra, Hubert and Levina, parents-in-law Edward and Mragaret Blanchard, sisters Bell (Albert) Squires, Jessie (Henry) Sheppard and Kitty, brothers Stephen (Dorothy) Wells and Robert (Annie) Wells, brothers-in-law Curtis (Regina) Blanchard and Joby (Doily) Blanchard. Friends may visit Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox's Cove on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20th at 2:00 PM with Pastor David John Crane officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund.
