Gordon Lethbridge November 23, 1919 - February 11, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Lethbridge. He passed peacefully away at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday, February 11th, 2008 in his 88th year. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in December 2005, mother Eliza, father Philip, brother Ronald, sisters Victoria, Vivian, Dorothy and Mabel. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Edgar (Mary), Alex (Ruth); daughters: Amanda Pardy (Robert), Agnes Pittman (Lee); brothers: Howard (Winnie), Rev.Chesley (Evelyn), Christopher (Edna), Tom (Ann), Jim, Philip; sisters: Verna Eastman, Viola Height, Olive Learning, Avis Kremer, Emily Wall (Henry), Vena Goudie (Horace), Nita Lethbridge (Jobe), Merle Dawe (Barry), Sheila Lethbridge; grandchildren: Goldie Augot, Krista Lethbridge, Fay Pittman, Dana Pittman, Ryan Lethbridge, Renee Lethbridge; great-grandchildren: Mandy Pardy, Shane Augot & Adam Augot, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gordon was born in Paradise River, later moving to Cartwright and then Happy Valley-Goose Bay in 1973 with his wife Evelyn. He retired in 1985 from the Labrador East Integrated School Board. Friends may visit St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Wednesday between the hours of 10-12 noon and 1-4 pm, from where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Grenfell Foundation.
