Obituary of Rodney Douglas Vatcher
Please share a memory of Rodney Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the death of Rodney Vatcher at the age of 51. We are happy that he is at peace after a determined fight that he knew from the outset he couldn’t win but we will sorely miss the vibrant and life-loving person he was. Husband, step-dad, brother, uncle, teammate or friend – whatever role you knew him as you surely knew that he could be counted on to give it his all and that he would always have your back.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Karen and step-daughters Jessica and Sarah; brothers: Lew (Marlene), Bruce (Beverly), Ed (Maxine), Jack (Ro); Sisters: Doris (Max), Clara (Pius), Ruth (Jim), Ada (Phil), Hilda (Aiden) and Irene (Kenny) ; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and extended family.

He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad and his brother Claude.

The remains are resting at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo from which the funeral will take place on Thursday, September 21st at 2pm. Interment to follow at Burgeo Community Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 20th from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm.
