MIRIAM PAYNE Cox’s Cove, NL Resident of the Lohens Complex November 7th, 1911 - February 16th, 2008 						 Passed peacefully away on Saturday, February 16th, 2008 Miriam Payne at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook in her 97th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Audrey Penney, Irishtown, Eva White, Cox’s Cove and Alma (Shirly) Lovell, McIvers; sons: Claude (Viola), Kevin (Anita), Gordon (Elsie), Basil (Pauline) all of Cox’s Cove and Lyle, Brampton, Ont; sister-in-law Jean Payne, Cox's Cove; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edward G., 1969, parents Soloman and Mary Noseworthy, children Nita and Roland, daughter-in-law Melvina Payne, sons-in-law Roy Penney and Taylor White, brother Basil Noseworthy, sisters Elsie Gillingham, Olive Wells and Eileen Park. Friends may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Monday and Tuesday from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at 2:00 PM, Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
