It is with great sadness that the family of the late Corbett Blake announce his passing on March 2nd, 2006 at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, at the age of 64 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Olive Blake; son Duane (Maylin) Blake, Goose Bay; daughter Colleen Blake, Halifax; grandson Taylor; brothers: Edward (Kathleen) Blake, North West River, Ted (Lorraine) Blake, Ottawa, Ernest (Merle) Blake, New Brunswick; sisters: Daphne Blake, Toronto, Elaine (Reg) Sparkes, North River, Bernice (Daryl), Baker Lake, and Margie Blake, Toronto, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Sidney and Alfreda Blake. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Goose Bay on Sunday from 2-4 pm, from where Mr. Blake will be transferred to the United Church in North West River for visitation 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the North West River United Church Memorial Fund.
