Obituary of Samuel H. Elson

ELSON Samuel H. Happy Valley-Goose Bay It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Elson announce his passing on Friday, March 3rd, 2006 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 78 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Sevilla Elson; children: Robert, Sybil Bailey (George Thoms), Ruby, Pauline (Clif Garnier), Carl (Carolyn), Derrick (Laura), Lorrain Hall (Don), Marion (Wayne Manning) and Frank; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Sandy and sister Violet Holwell, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents: John and Florance Elson; son Lawrance; brothers Don and Fred, and sisters: Florance and Gertrude. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on March 4,5 and 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 2:00 pm from the Anglican Church, HV-GB. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the family or to the Anglican Church.
