He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Melvin Green, Wanda (Chris) Ryan, Holley (Danny) Simmonds and Garland (Sheila) Green; grandchildren: Krista (Daryl) Green-Short, Mark (Marcelene) Ryan, Greg Green, Mitchell Green, Paul Colson, Brandon Colson, Michael Skeard and Kerry Skeard; great-grandchildren: Cameron Green, Kaylee LaBoeuf, Ally Hartwick-Green, Greg Green Jr., Carrington Ryan, Channing Ryan, Charisse Ryan, Thomas Skeard, Jimmy Skeard and Karla Skeard; sisters: Mary Chaisson, Winnie (Len) Howell, May (Gordon) Holley and Ruth (Neville) Turner; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alice Green (nee Holley), grandson Garland Paul Ryan, daughter-in-law Nancy Brake-Green, brother Ralph Green and sister Rose (Charles) Mills. In keeping with Doug’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from All saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
