CROSS Stanley Winsor Corner Brook, NL 	 It is with great sadness that the family of Stanley Cross announce his passing Corner Brook on Sunday, March 5th, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Left to mourn are his wife Doris (Herdman), son Ted (Rosalind), Summerside, PEI; daughter Leslie (Duke Newhook), St. John's; two grandchildren: Ian and Susanna Cross, Summerside, PEI; brother-in-law Robert (Joan) Herdman and families, South Carolina. He was predeceased by son Bill, 2002 and was the last member of the family of Captain Charles and Ethel (Horwood) Cross. He was predeceased by his siblings Charles, Cyril, Harold and Kathryn. Stan retired as Electrical Superintendent from Bowaters in 1982 after 49 years of service. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 2:00 PM from First United Church with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Reception will follow at the Glynmill Inn. Interment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the 5th and 6th floor Enhancement Committee, Western Memorial Regional Hospital or to a charity of one's choice.
