It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin Park announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, March 15th, 2006 at the age of 59 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 37 years Maxine (nee: Sheppard), Daughters: Lana (Jerry) Byrne, Shelley (Calvin) Swift, Christina (Gregory) Tucker; son Eugene (Janet) Mercer; mother Jessie Park; sisters Marie Park, Geraldine (Ronnie) Sheppard, Barbara (Foster) Pennell; brothers Gerald (Edna) Park, Scott (Ross) Park; granddaughters Abagail Byrne, Bridget Swift; grandson Curtis Byrne; sisters-in-law: Marilyn Farthing (Winston)& Marina Pennell (Murray), as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Ronald in 1992. The family will be receiving friends at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour Friday & Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. followed by the funeral service Sunday, March 19th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street.
