JOSEPH J. BENNETT FLAT BAY, NL It is with great sadness the family of the late Joseph J. Bennett announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the age of 63 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Marie, 7 children, Greg Blanchard (Carolanne McDonald, Nova Scotia, Joseph, Ontario, Karen (Bill) Barry, Stephenville Crossing, Rhonda (Kirk) Angell, Ontario, Sherry (Mark) Blazic, Ontario, Shelly (Gerard King), Barachois Brook, and Tracey Bennett (Joey), Ontario, 9 grandchildren, Shane, Trent, Eric, Stephanie, Meghan, Matthew, Hayley, Hannah, and Madisyn, brothers, Chestley (Doris), British Columbia, Ivan (Lorraine), Flat Bay, and Teddy (Jasulin), Flat Bay, sisters, Jean Bennett, Flat Bay, Joan Ploughman, Flat Bay, Vera (Hollis) Sweetapple, Corner Brook, Mena (John) Keats, Corner Brook, Isabel (Bill) Kelley, USA and Doreen Stevenson, USA. He is predeceased by his parents, Neil and Evelyn, brothers-in-law, Edward Bennett, Wilf Ploughman and Steve Stevenson, nieces, Karen Bennett and Frankie Bennett, and nephews, Dwayne Kelley and Dean Bennett. The family will be receiving friends from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Flat Bay, Saturday and Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20, 10:30 a.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
