It is with great sadness that the family of the late Blanche Duffy announce her passing on Tuesday, October 5th, 2004 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville in her 86th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her 16 children, Wallace Duffy (Marlene), Marie Gardner (Bob), Hilda Dalley (Dorm), Tom Duffy (Marilyn), Chris Killburn (Peter), Patsy Callahan (Jack), Barbara Ralph (Emerson), Regina Pynn (Gus), Diane Abbott (Randy), Stella Delaney (Gerard), Gerard Duffy (Kathleen), Sheila Gosse (Roy), Shirley Pike (Vince), Margaret Buckle (Andy), Elizabeth Pasche (Cornell) and Deborah Langer (Luke), 41 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Duffy (1996), grandchildren, Angela Goodland, Sherry Lenchuka and John Delaney, and by her great-grandchildren, Andrew Bennett and Megan Lenchuka. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, on Wednesday,Thursday, and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 9th, at 10:30 a.m. from Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue, Father Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
