Oswald (Ossie) Pennell Corner Brook, NL 1928 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Oswald Pennell announce his passing on Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 59 years, Matilda (nee Bishop); daughter-in-law: Janet Pennell; grandchildren: Jennifer (Bill) Bourgeois, Christa (Scott) Mosher and David (Janesta (Ashton) MacDonald); sisters-in-law: Rita Foley, Mary (Elliott) Forsey, and Madeline Bishop; brother-in-law: Kevin Doyle; special family pets, Sandy and Lowin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his two sons: David and James; parents: Nyren and Anita Pennell; sisters: Martha Robertson (Adolphus) and Joan Pennell. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street. Reverend Michael Rice officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
