It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley George Herritt announce his passing on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 82. He will be sadly missed by his eight children: Mary Cooper, Clara Cochrane (Bob), Phillip Herritt(Violet), Elizabeth Porter, Joan Herritt, Walter Herritt (Debbie), Margaret Marche (Danny), Dianna Clarke (Lloyd); 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters Pearl Nurse (Rudell), Grand Bank, Bertha Strickland, St. John's, brother Jake Herritt, Scotland as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine, January 31, 2006, parents Phillip & Clara Herritt, son Bernard (Bob) White, son-in-law Charles Cooper, sisters Elizabeth Stoodley & Gertrude Walters. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John's Beach Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating, followed by the interment at the RC Cemetery, Benoits Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
