Edith Alice Warford (nee Howell) Corner Brook, NL October 15, 1924 - March 7, 2008 It is with great sadness the family of the late Edith Warford announce her peaceful passing on Friday, March 7th, 2008 at the Alternative Care Unit, Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years. Left with fond and loving memories are her two sons: Herbert (Roslyn), Barrie, ON and Allister Jr. (Lorna), Irishtown/Summerside; granddaughters: Elaine (Rick) Sisti, Barrie, ON, Brandy (Chad) Hidgon, Stony Plain, AB and Amanda (Nick) Brake, Fort McMurray, AB; grandsons: Donald (Koren) Warford, Stony Plain, AB, Brian (Anne Marie) Warford, Barrie, ON; great grandchildren: Sarah and David Sisti, Chandler and Avery Higdon, Riley and Rachel Brake, Caleb Warford, Nicholas, Brianne and Emma Warford; sisters: Norma Slade, Ontario, Joyce Keating, Deer Lake and Jeanette Stockley, Powell River, BC; sisters-in-law: Greta Warford, Cox’s Cove, Maisie Warford, Corner Brook; brother-in-law: Tom Keating, Howely; special nieces: Darilyn Pinkson, Deer Lake and Alice Ryles, Frenchman’s Cove; special friends: The Michaud’s of Corner Brook, as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Allister Sr.; infant daughter: Shirley Ann; parents: Jack and Clara Howell; brother: Herbert; great grandson: Cole Brake. Cremation has already taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date. A expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
