WHALEN H.B. Clyde Corner Brook, NL Korean War Veteran 13669-H RCN It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde Whalen announce his passing on Sunday, April 16th, 2006 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 53 years Ruby (Martin). Children: Robert (Catherine), Stephenville; Trudy (Paul) Fagan, Mt. Pearl; Donna (Tim) Guy, Terry \Buck\ (Gillian), Susan (Pierre) Langlois all of Fort McMurray. Grandchildren: Wendy, Rob, Colleen, Jackie, Darryl, Colin, Mark, Isaac, Adam, Marina, Sarah & Stephanie, great-grandchildren: Mia, Zoey, Joshua, Christian, Katelyn & Jordyn, sister Josie (Howard) Hamlyn, Corner Brook, sisters-in-law: Gladys Whalen, Baie Verte, Jean Robbins, Myra (Wilson) Piercey all of Corner Brook, Margaret (Gerry) Wight, Helen (Leonard) Davis & Sherry (Dave) Ellis all of Tennessee, USA, brother-in-law Bob (Ruby) Martin, Corner Brook. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John & Eliza, grandson Daniel Langlois, brothers Eric & Gideon. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Thursday 10-12 Noon. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 2:00 PM from St. Michaels' & All Angels Anglican Church with Rev. Canon Gordon Druggett officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Poppy Fund or to the Pallative Care Unit, Western memorial Regional Hospital. The family guest book may be signed or a Memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
