It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mark Basha announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 42. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Katherine (nee Gill); daughter Lena Mallory; son Benjamin; mother Mary; brother Andrew, Alberta; sisters: Carolyn (Gilles) Fournier, Winnipeg, MB, Maureen, Philadelphia; grandmother Eileen Basha; nephews: Abe, Mitchell, Kristopher, Samuel, Adam; nieces: Amelia, Maura, Phoebe; Father-in-law John Gill, Robinsons; brothers-in-law: Tony (Michelle) Gill and Allan Gillis; sisters-in-law: Christine, Angela and Melanie Gill (Andrew McDonnell); aunts: Betty (Don) Lang, Maureen (Michael) Blackmore, Sharon Basha, Anne Miller, Catherine Basha, Jane McGrath, Doris (Tony) Vuorela, Carolyn Elliott and Judy (Hedley) Best; uncles: John (Gladys) Miller and Brain (Katrina) Basha; special friend Father Desmond McGrath; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Gerry Basha; grandfather Jack Basha; uncles: Fred Basha and Peter Millier. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday & Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 10:30 a.m. from Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
