Sadie Pike Hawkes Bay, NL Jan. 13, 1926 - Feb. 29, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Pike announce her passing on Friday, February 29th, 2008 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn her sons: Darrell (Marjorie), Derek (Lilibeth), Ed (Madge) and Reg (Pearl); grandchildren: Erin, Christopher, Stephen, Donald, Kevin, Erica, Jody, Kelly, Kyle and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Robert, Jordan, Zachary and Ryder; sister Charlotte Caines; brother Abijah (Florence) Plowman; sister-in-law Pauline Plowman, Mildred (Fred) Martin, Dorothy (Jim) Martin and Marie Tuck; brothers-in-law: Don (Gladys) Pike and Clayton (Ivy) Pike, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius and parents: William and Alfreda Plowman. Visitation took place at Holy Innocent’s Church in Hawkes Bay on Sunday and Monday from where the Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 4th at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be forwarded to Holy Innocent’s Church in Hawkes Bay. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Choix.
