NORTHCOTT Samuel D. Margaree, NL Passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 68th year, Samuel D. Northcott, on June 16th, 2006 after a brief illness with cancer. Born in Deer Island, NL, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Minnie) Northcott. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Susanna of 40 years; children: Blair (Clare) Saint John, NB, Keith (Trina) Blackfalds, AB, Brent (Sheri) Whitecourt, AB, Wanda-Lee (Michael Stone), Margaree, NL and Edwin (Krista) Red Deer, AB; sisters: Effie Billard, Flora Crewe and Gladys Osmond; brother Freeman and his greatest joys, the grandchildren: Cecilia Gaslard, David Stone and Dalton Northcott, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by son Glen and an infant son Derrick; sisters: Lillian and Faith. The family received friends at St. Augustine's Church in Margaree, NL on Sunday and Monday. The Funeral Service took place on Tuesday, June 20th at 2:00 pm with Reverend Duncan Granter officiating, assisted by Bishop Leonard Whitten. Interment followed at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Margaree. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
