Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, Walter James Simms on Friday, July 2, 2004. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Jessie; daughter Rudy Bartlett (Jerry), sons; Fred (Eileen), John (Sue), James (Anne); grandchildren: Cathy Gardner (Charles), Carey Bartlett (Donna), Sheri-Lynn Moulton (James), Jacquie Penny (Fred), Stephen Simms (Amy), Robert Simms, Lori Corbett (Bobby), Pattie Rideout (Jeff), Jamie Simms (Nicole), Kent Simms (Krista); great grandchildren: Melissa and Jessica Bartlett, Nicholas and Jonathan Gardner, Jillian and Devon Corbett, Steven and Jane Rideout, Jason Penny, special step-grandson Jack Kendell, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents George and Martha Simms. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Memorial service to held on Tuesday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Majors Gary and Sharon Cooper assisted by Captain Scott Rideout. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple. The Family guestbook may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
