It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Power announce her passing on Tuesday, August 1st, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons: Leonard (Brenda) and Thomas (Debra), both of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Lesley (Peter) Yates, Manitouwadge, ON, and Bradley Power (Kim), Calgary, AB; step-grandchildren: Kenny Parsons, Lark Harbour and Corey Parsons, Toronto, ON; a very special great grandson: Ethan Yates, as well as three step great grandchildren; sisters:, Masie Brake, Corner Brook, Gladys Miles (Wally), Pasadena, Marion Nagle, Kitchener, ON, Linda Daniels, Venice, Florida, and Pearl Howley; Burlington, ON; brother: William (Hannah) Daniels, Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Margaret Hutchings, Stephenville, Ann Marie Crossley (Donald), Corner Brook and Ann Dick, Boston, Mass. ; special mention: Nora Power, Sister Betty, Sister Sylvia, Stan Cooper, the ladies from Hiscock Manor, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James and brother-in-law John Power. Friends may visit Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday , 7-9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will take place from the Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. Bernard Avenue on Friday, August 4th, at 10:30 A.M. Fr. Edwin Gale officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Centre, Western Region.
