It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Pike announce his passing on Friday, August 18th, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn with very fond and loving memories: his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Violet; daughter: Major Helen (Major Harold) Robbins, Orangeburg, N.Y, USA; son: Major Wayne (Captain Betty Ann) Pike, Corner Brook; grandchildren: David (Julie) Robbins, Darryl (Amy) Robbins, Baltimore, MD, USA; Captain Elaine (Captain Jamie) Locke, Glovers Harbour, NL; great granddaughter: Chloe Joy Robbins; sisters: Mrs. Jean Sparkes, Mrs. Mildred (Abdner) Clarke, Corner Brook and Mrs. Geraldine Spear, Boston, MA, USA; brother: Mr. Frank (Audrey) Pike, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue today, Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 20th at 3:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street. Major Harold Robbins officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel Band Fund.
