Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook on Monday, July 12, 2004 in his 85th year, Sidney Burry. Leaving to mourn, his wife of 49 years, Mary (Nee: Pardy); son Ron; daughter-in-law Ruby; grandson Tyler, all of Halifax, NS; sisters: Greta Pelly, Toronto and Olive Meadus, Halifax, NS; brother-in-law Henry (Lillian) Padry, Baine Harbour, NL; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by brother Chesley Burry and sister Maggie Quinton. Sidney was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served for 6 years in the Royal British Navy in action in World War II. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humber United Church, Clarence St., Corner Brook. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca
