ELVIS DAVIS Deer Lake, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elvis Davis announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, September 13th, 2006 at his family residence in Deer Lake at the age of 52 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving his wife of 33 years Donna (nee Hillier), 3 daughters: Carolyn (Martin) Leonard, Halifax; Heather (Darren) Tulk, Norris Point; Danielle (Tyler Abbott) Davis, Halifax. 2 precious granddaughter: Allison and Amber Leonard and 1 grandchild to arrive soon, father and mother Baxter and Maud Davis, Deer Lake; sister Gwen (Dave) Birt, Halifax; brothers: Lorne (Vi Cadman), Brampton, Ont.; Greg (Ilona), Waterloo, Ont.; mother-in-law Daisy Hillier, Deer Lake; sister-in-law Valerie (Robin) Spence, Deer Lake; nieces and nephews: Heather and Jonathan Birt, Elsa and Serena Davis, Stephen (Nadine), Matthew and Sarah Spence. As well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, other relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Clarke Hillier. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday and Saturday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 17th at 2:30 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel with Captains Terry and Bonnie Hopkins officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the David C. Ball Memorial Fund or to the Self Denial Missionary Fund.
