It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Spence announce his passing on Monday, September 25th, 2006 at his family residence in Deer Lake at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Robin (Valerie) Spence, Danny (Myra) Spence, Anne (Tom) Yetman and Molly Spence. Grandchildren: Stephen (Nadine), Matthew, Sarah, Danielle, Kenneth, Nicholas, Shane, Joshua, Jacob, Dustin and great-grand Zachary. Brothers-in-law: Scott (Daisy) Campbell, Roy (Mona) Campbell, Ken Campbell Jr. and John Shiner. Sisters-in-law: Hazel Manuel, Molly Nichols, Daisy “Lover” (Tom) Laramore, Renne (Harvey) Caines and Shirley (Eric) Luther. Nephews: Bill (Irene) Ball and Randy (Nora) Ball, cousin Calvin Wheeler (Joy). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Bety Spence, children Catherine and Kenneth Spence, parents Wilfred (Bill) and Dora Spence, sister Annie Ball and brother-in-law Otto Ball, father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Ada Campbell. Special thanks to George’s exceptional care givers in his time of illness. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinis Drive, Deer Lake on Wednesday from the hours of 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel with Captains Terry & Bonnie Hopkins officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, High Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
