It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Michael Cashin announce his passing on Sunday, October 1st, 2006 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years Nina (nee Crocker), daughter Kitty (Leonard Kelly), four sons: Richard (Valda), Michael (Mary), John (Linda) and Patrick (Mary Louise). Grandchildren: Paula, Mary, Richard, Trina, Patrick, Jamie and great-grandchildren, sisters: Dorothy Gorton, Texas, Mary (Pat) Pasquier, Tennessee, brother John (Marina), Corner Brook, sister-in-law Verna (Roy) Barrett, Corner Brook and his special companion Skip. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Catherine Cashin and sister Peggy Boland. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Sunday from the hours of 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM followed by the Royal Canadian Legion Ritual. A memorial service will he held on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:30 AM from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic, Curling with Father Bernard Buckle officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
