It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sarah Halfyard-Stickland announce her passing on Thursday, October 14th, 2004 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Comer Brook at the age of 97. Leaving to mown with fond and loving memories: her three sons; Bill (Maxine), Fred and David (Sheila), sisters; Effie Baldwin, Vera King and Blanche Batson, brother Clyde Hutchings (Joan); 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husbands; Edgar Halfyard and Peter Stickland, and son Gordon Halfyard. Friends may visit Fillatre' s funeral home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and from St. Andrews United Church, Woody Point, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 17th, at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Beverly Snow officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As I expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
