Bernard Derek BROOMFIELD August 13, 1948 - November 12, 2006 It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bernie Broomfield on Sunday, November 12th, 2006, at the age of 58 years. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Nee: Greer); proud father of Stacey (Andrew), Derek (Karen) and Joel (Kristy); loving grandfather of Kristen, Ali and Jamie. Also survived by his mother Mildred Broomfield; sisters: Joan (John) Andersen, Marjorie (Gilles) Guindon and his brother Wally (Tina). He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Predeceased by father John; sister Vera Cooney and brother Alan. Bernie will be remembered for his sense of humour and loud, booming voice by all who met him. Visitation will take place between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 on Tuesday, November 14th and Wednesday, November 15th at Fillatre’s Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at Bethal Pentecostal Church on Thursday, November 16th at 2:00 pm, followed by a celebration of his life and sharing of memories at the Moravian Church Hall. There will be no interment as Bernie's wish was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Happy Valley Moravian Church.
