It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Jean Goodyear announce her passing on Monday, December 18th, 2006 at the Dr. J.I. O’Connell Centre in Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Merrill (Mona), Deer Lake, Major Ronald (Maisie), Port Hope, Ontario, Elaine (Bill) Janes, Deer Lake, Elizabeth Goodyear, Halifax. 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Chesley (Joyce) Goodyear, Montana, sisters-in-law: Beatrice Tuetch, Verna Goodyear, Louise (Eddy) Bedard all of Ontario and Florence Jensen, Victoria, BC, special cousins: Kie and John Gullage, Corner Brook and Elaine Coates, Ontario. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George, 1998, mother Helen Gullage, step father Isaac Gullage, brother Clayton, special aunt Jessie Gullage and special cousin George Gullage. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Tuesday and Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21st at 2:00 PM from The Salvation Army Citadel with Captains Terry & Bonnie Hopkins officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, High Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army Club GIGGLE.
