ROY DAVID OXFORD Corner Brook, NL September 4th, 1928 - December 28th, 2006 Passed peacefully away with family by his side on Thursday, December 28th, 2006, Roy David Oxford at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Katie (nee Piercey), parents Abram John and Marion Oxford, brothers Edison, Leslie (Chuck) and Basil, sisters-in-law Maisie and Annie, brothers-in-law George, Royd, Floyd and John, nephews Norval, Allan and Dennis. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son David (Claudette), daughters: Kathy (Greg McHugh) and Nancy (Darren White), grandchildren: Ingrid (Ryan), Andrew (Jennifer), Phillip, Stephen, David, Adam, Leah, Rebecca, Matthew and Thomas, 1 great-grandson Joshua, brother Norval (Mabel), sisters: Pearl (George), Marion (Bill), Millicent, Joyce (Butch) and Irene, sisters-in-law: Mary and Myra, brothers-in-law: Charles (Dorothy), Roderick (Betty) and Jimmy (Carolyn). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, old friends and care givers of the 5th floor, Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30th at 11:00 AM from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist with the Very Rev. Michael Rice and Arch Bishop Stewart Payne officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Townsite. As expressions of sympathy family flowers only, donations may be made to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Maintenance Fund, the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
