ALFREDA BUFFETT Cox’s Cove, NL January 12, 1927 - December 30th, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of Alfreda Buffett announce her passing on Saturday, December 30th, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her seven children: sons: George (Tracy) and Thomas (Veronica), Cox’s Cove, Kerry, Toronto and Demont, Cox’s Cove; daughters: Lorraine Best (David), Cox’s Cove, Rubina Hodder (Don, deceased) and Margarite Milley (Gill), Toronto; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; four sisters: Edna Janes, Georgetown, Martha Barnes, Cox’s Cove, Amy Murrin, Cox’s Cove and Clara House, Meadows; four brothers: Bill Cox (Josie), Luke Cox, Walter Cox (Geraldine), Cox’s Cove, Ralph Cox (Jean) McIvers; special friends: Maudie and Gordon Cox, Cox’s Cove, as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1998, daughter-in-law: Susan and sister: Eileen Welshman. Friends may visit St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove beginning Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Nicholas Church Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Corner Brook.
